Anyone have any opinions on the 2008 Holden VE SS utes? In particular, this one, which I might go look at today:

My goal is to get something that is not available in the US. I've pondered an Alfa 159 wagon, but my wife is really against that idea for some reason. There are no Sandman vans available nearby that look like they are close to reasonable condition.

Personally, I'd get something of the classic variety that way you don't finicky emissions/import laws to deal with.

Y u no Falcon XR6 Turbo ute? haha but good choice mate, these are pretty durable, however the V6 leaves a lot to be desired. I didn't see if this was the V8 or not, but it is the one to go for.

My wife literally just said "I can't believe you'd get a Holden over a Ford" right when I clicked on your reply. Any reason to prefer one over the other besides brand loyalty? FWIW in the US my father was a Ford man for about 70 years.

This one's a V8. I mean, come on.

1990 model years are beginning to become legal. You could go for one of those. This is the a mid-90's car with the updated "roll bar." I think the older ones look pretty good actually. They don't beat the current ones, but they do look good.

An opinion?

These things are the greatest thing since sliced bread, and our continent is losing a very, VERY amazing piece of automotive history by not having those here.

I love those ute dearly, and would probably buy one before anything else if they were available here.

That's my opinion on these wonderful beasts.

Atomic green , nice colour!

i prefer the later Poison Ivy , but this is my 2nd choice.
